Nepal lost to UAE by 99 runs

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost the one-day cricket match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 99 runs in the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

Following the target of 203 runs given by UAE, Nepal was all out in 10 overs and was limited to 103 runs. Gyanendra Malla top scored for Nepal with 30 runs. Similarly, Arif Sheikh and Sampal Kami were all out for 15 runs each.

Earlier, UAE won the toss and elected to field at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. UAE lost nine wickets in 50 overs and scored 202 runs.

In the first match, Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by two wickets. In the second match, Nepal lost to UAE by 48 runs.

Nepal is in the sixth position in the World Cricket League-2 with 10 points in 11 games. UAE is second and PNG is at the bottom. But Nepal has played the least number of games in the league.
