Kathmandu: Nepali national football team has improved its place in the FIFA rankings.
Nepal has improved two places to 167th position in the new rankings made public by FIFA, on Thursday. Earlier, Nepal was ranked 169th place.
Nepal had played two friendly matches against the African nation Mauritius at home on 15 January and 18 January and won both.
Among South Asian countries, Nepal rank in on third place. India is one place ahead of Nepal, improving one place to 104th and Maldives to 157th place.
After Nepal, Bhutan is ranked 185th, Bangladesh 187th, Pakistan 197th and Sri Lanka 204th.
Belgium still tops the world rankings, followed by Brazil and France.
