Kathmandu: The government has demanded details from passengers who paid more than the stipulated fare on a chartered flight last year.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has appealed passengers, who have returned Nepal last year on chartered flights, to give the evidences to the ministry. Passengers who have paid expensive fare can send their details on ministry’s email id.
The government has formed an investigation committee to further investigate the irregularities in the chartered flight. The committee was formed by the ministry to seek clarification from the concerned body and further investigate the delay in the implementation of the recommendations of the committee formed earlier.
In the first phase of the transition of Covid 19, international chartered flights were operated to repatriate stranded people abroad after the flights were halted to prevent corona infection.
