Kathmandu: The Medical Education Commission has formed a committee to study the additional fees charged by medical colleges.
The commission has formed a team to monitor the medical colleges while students are protesting against the high fees charged by the medical colleges.
Issuing a statement on Wednesday spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Deepak Sharma said that if the medical colleges are found to be charging excessive fees, action will be taken against them. Moreover, their affiliation can be terminated as per the Medical Education Act.
He said in a statement that the commission has formed a monitoring team to study whether the medical colleges have charged more than the stipulated fee.
