Chitwan (Rashtriya Samachar Samiti): Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha has said that additional 20,000 doctors and health workers are needed for hospitals across the country.
Speaking at an event held at Bharatpur Hospital on Sunday, State Minister Shrestha said that there is a need to increase the posts of doctors, nurses and paramedics.
He stressed that government hospitals should not be allowed to lack resources and manpower. He also urged the hospitals to provide information to the government if they have any problems regarding equipment and other issues.
He informed that 33 percent of the population will be vaccinated against corona by next September and 100 percent by April. Minister of State Shrestha informed that an agreement has been reached for 52.5 million vaccines out of the total need of 55 million vaccines for all the population in Nepal.
