Kathmandu: So far, 504 Nepalis have been repatriated from Afghanistan. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 35 people were rescued on Saturday, including 26 from Turkish Airlines and nine from Jazeera Air.
As many as 317 Nepalis have registered their details on the web portal of the Consular Services Department till 5 pm on Saturday.
The ministry said it is coordinating with rescue teams to rescue the remaining people after verifying the names and passports of those listed for the rescue, filling in details from multiple locations and verifying the details of those who had reached a safe destination.
Rescue efforts are underway in Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of the country.
