Kathmandu: Former Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Hitendra Dev Shakya has reached the Supreme Court with a writ petition seeking revocation of the appointment of Kulman Ghising as the Executive Director of NEA.
He claimed that he was illegally removed from the post of executive director of NEA and demanded that he be retained.
He has made the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Energy, Board of Directors of Nepal Electricity Authority and Executive Director Kulman Ghising as opposition.
Stating that he was pressured to resign but did not resign, Shakya claimed that the government’s decision to appoint him as an energy expert member of the Water and Energy Commission was wrong. He claims that his right to the post of executive director of NEA will remain as he has rejected the post.
He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
Shakya has demanded that the government’s decision to remove him and the decision to appoint Kulman Ghising as an executive director should be reversed.
He has also demanded the revocation of the decision, claiming that Ghising was appointed to the same post while he was still the executive director of the authority.
