Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has again increased the price of petroleum products. The corporation has increased the selling price of petrol and diesel / kerosene by two rupees per liter.
Now the price of petrol has reached Rs 127 and the price of diesel has reached Rs 110 per liter. The corporation has decided to increase the price of aviation fuel (domestic flights) by two rupees per liter to Rs 82 per liter and aviation fuel (international flights) by USD 20 per kiloliter to the new selling price of USD 735 per kiloliter.
The corporation, which did not reduce the price when it went down, has been continuously increasing the price showing that it has made a loss. The corporation has said that the devaluation of Nepali currency against the dollar may further increase the value in the future.
