Kathmandu: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has directed to close educational institutions across the country for four days.
An emergency meeting chaired by Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha at the ministry has decided to close all educational institutions so that the health of children is not affected by air pollution.
According to the decision, all educational institutions will be closed from Tuesday to Friday. For the past few days, air pollution has been increasing in Kathmandu and other places due to the drought.
According to the Ministry of Education, the decision was taken to close the school-college for a few days to protect the health of the students as it would be detrimental to public health.
