Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Baburam Bhattarai has returned to Nepal on Tuesday.
He went to Delhi, the capital of India, for a health check-up and arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon after completing his treatment.
Bhattarai, who reached New Delhi on suspicion of having cancer in a neuro-endocrine tumor, underwent a medical examination at the Institute of Liver and Bile Sciences there.
After a biopsy, doctors concluded that there is no cancer. However, doctors have suggested that the tumor be surgically removed within two to three months. The doctor suggests that there is a risk of cancer without immediate surgery.
Bhattarai had gone to New Delhi on February 24.
