Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has said that Prime Minister Oli has rip off the constitution by dissolving the parliament.
A meeting of Nepali Congress officials held on Sunday condemned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for dissolving the parliament by taking unconstitutional and undemocratic steps. Talking to reporters after the meeting, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel said that the decision was taken to dissolve the parliament and lead the country towards instability and crisis on democracy.
He said, “Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has dissolved the parliament by tearing up the constitution of the country. It is not legal under any circumstances.” Nepal’s constitution has been torn apart. The Prime Minister has taken a democratic step and the Nepali Congress strongly condemns it. This will lead the nation to instability and democracy to the crisis. It’s a very reprehensible act, we face it.
