Kathmandu: In line with the air bubble concept proposed by India, the government has decided to operate one flight daily from both India and Nepal.
Despite the decision of the Government of Nepal on November 25, the flight has not started yet. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has been assigned to fly to India from Nepal. It has been said that both NAC and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal have completed the necessary process for flight resumption.
NAC has informed that the national flag carrier will start flying to Delhi as soon as the date is fixed on behalf of India.
The concept of air bubble is a concept introduced by India after the corona virus infection so that countries can take their citizens. Under this scheme, passengers coming to Nepal have to fill up an international travel online form before starting their journey.
The Council of Ministers has stipulated that only passengers with a negative PCR report 72 hours before the flight and boarding time can be brought to Nepal. Regular flights between Nepal and India have been suspended for 11 days.
Although the government eased international flights from last September, it had not opened flights to South Asian countries.
