Simikot (RSS): Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed flight operations from and to Humla from Monday.
The government-owned airline company, NAC, which has been operating regular flights to Jumla and Rukum in Karnali, has started flying to Humla from today after almost a year.
Humla station in-charge Bal Bahadur Sunar informed that the flight from Nepalgunj to Humla will be operated once a week, reported on Rashtriya Samachar Samiti (RSS).
He said that there is a 25 percent discount on tickets for children and students under the age of two on the basis of identity cards. In-charge Sunar said that there is a 50 percent discount on tickets for elderly passengers.
He said that the fare from Humla to Nepalgunj is Rs 6,300 and Rs 7,000 from Nepalgunj to Humla.
Private airlines have been charging more than Rs 10,000 per person to reach Humla from Nepalgunj.
Nepal Airlines has been flying to Humla once a week, Jumla twice a week, and Rukum once a day. The flight schedule can be added depending on the number of passengers in Humla.
After Nepal Airlines started flying to Humla starting from today, the people here are happy to be able to travel outside the district at concessional fares.
