Kathmandu: The remaining matches of the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Asian Cup qualifiers in which Nepal is competing will be completed by June 2021.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced that the remaining matches of the World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers will be completed by the 15th. The virtual meeting of the AFC’s competition committee has decided that the remaining matches of the World Cup qualifiers and Asian Cup qualifiers will be completed within 15 days.
Earlier, the October and November qualifiers were postponed due to the corona virus epidemic.
The remaining games will be played in March and June, according to the AFC. Nepal now has three home games to play in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Asian Cup in China. Nepal has yet to play Australia, Jordan and Chinese Taipei. Nepal, which is preparing for the selection, is in Dhaka, Bangladesh for a friendly match.
Nepal will play a friendly match against Bangladesh in Dhaka on friday and on November 20.
