Kathmandu: Finally, the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has reached the crossroads. CPN (Maoist) Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has proposed Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to leave the party.
It has been said that PM Oli has made it public in a meeting with members of the secretariat organized by Dahal at his private residence in Khumaltar. Senior CPN (Maoist) leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, Madhav Nepal, Vice President Bamdev Gautam, party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ were also present at the meeting.
Dahal has argued that it is not possible for Oli to decide the rest of the journey together as he has recently shown a tendency to disobey the decisions made by the majority leaders of the party.
Some time ago, CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel tweeted on social media pointing out that the CPN (Maoist) was approaching its feet. CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Poudel, who is also the Finance Minister, has said that the party unity has reached a critical stage.
He urged all the leaders and cadres to make the agenda of dialogue a consensus, find a solution with consensus and make positive contribution for the protection and development of the party unity.
