Dashain allowance of PM and other ministers to be deposited in the Corona Fund

Kathmandu: The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to deposite Dashain allowance of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other ministers on the Corona Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund. Speaking during a press meet today, Spokesperson for the government, Communication and Information Technology Minister Parbat Gurung stated that festive allowance of all ministers will be deposited on covid-19 fund.
He further urged the provincial and local level governments to deposit their allowance on the covid fund for the welfare of the country. As the government is struggling to control the covid-19 pandemic, the cabinet has taken such decision, he said. Prior to this, various lawmakers had already declared to deposit their allowance in the Corona Fund. Accordingly, the cabine meeting has also made the decision.
