Kathmandu: The Rupandehi District Court has issued arrest warrants for Rabi Lamichhane and former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chhabilal Joshi as part of an ongoing investigation into organized crime linked to the Supreme Cooperative fraud case in Butwal.
Judge Shyam Prasad Shrestha approved the warrants, which also sanction the arrest of 12 other individuals associated with the case.
Previously, Joshi provided a two-day statement regarding the illegal transfer of funds from the Supreme Cooperative to Gorkha Media Network, where Lamichhane served as Managing Director.
Both Lamichhane and Joshi are currently detained in Pokhara, where police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
