Speaking at Sheetal Niwas, President Paudel addressed sports journalists and officials from various countries attending the Congress of Asian Sports Journalists Federation (AIPS Asia), urging them to promote Nepal as a prime destination for sports and athletes.
“There is immense potential for adventurous sports, high altitude sports, and ultra-marathons in Nepal,” President Paudel stated. He emphasized the importance of broadcasting this message globally to attract attention and recognition for Nepal’s sports capabilities.
The President also lauded Palesha Govardhan for enhancing Nepal’s international image by winning a medal at the recent Paralympics in Paris. He highlighted the significance of publicizing such achievements to the global community.
In addition to sports, President Paudel stressed the need to promote Nepal’s cultural heritage, including its status as the home of Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) and the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
