Kathmandu: In a significant development, the government has announced the temporary reopening of the newly-constructed Dharahara. The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday.
The historic tower, located in Sundhara, Kathmandu, will open its doors to the public starting September 19, aligning with the observance of Constitution Day.
The Dharahara, which was severely damaged and collapsed during the 2015 earthquake, has been rebuilt and is now set for its temporary reopening. This move marks a notable step in the ongoing efforts to restore and preserve Nepal’s cultural heritage.
