Kathmandu: At least two people have died and 27 others have been injured in a bus accident in Banke on Thursday morning. The incident occurred at around 11:15 a.m. when the bus, registered as Bhe 1 Kha 2128 and traveling from Dang to Nepalgunj, lost control near Kotharpur along the Kohalpur-Nepalgunj road.
The vehicle overturned on the road in Kotarhapur, Janaki Rural Municipality-6.
According to police, the injured passengers were promptly rescued and transported to a hospital. The police have detained the bus driver for further investigation.
