Kathmandu: The Nepalese government has announced substantial cash rewards for the Nepali women’s volleyball team in recognition of their impressive performance in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League. The team, which secured the runner-up position, will each receive Rs 300,000 as a reward.
The decision, made during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, recognizes the achievements of all 14 players on the Nepali team. In addition to the players’ rewards, the head coach will be awarded Rs 200,000, while the manager, assistant coach, and physio will each receive Rs 120,000.
India claimed the title in the tournament, but Nepal’s commendable performance has been met with this significant acknowledgment from the government.
