Kathmandu: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has introduced a convenient five-year installment facility for the payment of electricity tariff dues related to dedicated and trunk line services. In a public notice released today, the NEA has invited relevant entities to submit applications for the installment plan at their respective NEA distribution centers within the next 30 days.
This decision follows a resolution made during the January 1 meeting of the NEA Board of Directors, allowing industries to avail themselves of a one-time installment facility to settle their dues linked to dedicated and trunk line services.
The NEA has taken this proactive measure in response to the outstanding electricity dues from 61 industries, totaling Rs 22.24 billion. As a result, power supply to 24 industries has been temporarily disconnected.
