The Nepal Calendar Determination Committee has announced the occurrence of a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday, October 28.
Theologian Prof Dr Devmani Bhattarai shared details that the Sutak phase of the lunar eclipse will begin at 1:19 PM and end at 4:19 PM, with the eclipse’s moksha phase concluding at 2:38 AM.
This event, according to the committee, is the only eclipse in the year 2080 BS. Last year saw a solar eclipse on October 25 and a lunar eclipse on November 8, with the solar eclipse occurring on Kartik Krishna Aunsi and the lunar eclipse on Kartik Shukla Purnima, aligning with the new moon and full moon, respectively.
