Kathmandu: Two female pilots of the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) have made their first international flight.
For the first time in the airline’s history of the country, a female duo pilot flew an international flight (Kathmandu to Dubai), as reported by the Rashtriya Samachar Samiti
Corporation spokesperson Archana Khadka informed that the team of co-pilot Bhawana Pant and co-pilot Srijana Raut flew an international flight to Kathmandu-Dubai.
According to the corporation, two female pilots took off the corporation’s Airbus A-320 flight from Kathmandu to Dubai at 11 o’clock on Saturday night.
They are scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Wednesday morning with passengers from Dubai.
It is said that all the crew members on this flight will be women on International Women’s Day on Wednesday.
The corporation has five female pilots, four in narrow body and one in wide body, in international flights.
