Kathmandu: Mahashivaratri is being celebrated today by worshiping Lord Shiva at the Pashupatinath Temple and other Shiva temples across the country.
The movement of pilgrims has increased in the temple since this morning. On the day of Mahashivratri, which is celebrated every year, the temple is thronged by devotees.
Till the midday, around 500,000 visitors have visited the Pashupatinath temple.
