Kathmandu: The government has decided to give a public holiday on January 11. The cabinet meeting held today on Monday decided to give a holiday on the day of Prithvi Jayanti.
To support the government, the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party had stipulated that Prithvi Jayanti should be celebrated as National Unity Day and a public holiday should be given.
In the minimum common program of the ruling partner parties announced today, it is mentioned that public holiday will be given on January 11.
The minimum common program of the government has been passed by today’s cabinet meeting.
