800,000 doses of vaccine arrived in Nepal from China

Kathmandu: The government has brought 800,000 doses of corona vaccine from China to Nepal.

Eight lakh doses of Verocel vaccines were brought from Nepal Airlines Corporation’s widebody aircraft on Friday morning.

The Government of Nepal had signed an agreement with a Chinese company, Sinofarm, to purchase four million vaccines. According to the agreement, the first batch of the Verocel vaccine was brought to Kathmandu on Friday morning.

The widebody aircraft left for the China capital, Beijing, on Thursday evening to deliver the first batch of vaccines. The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that the vaccine will be brought to Nepal through three flights by July 25.

The ministry is preparing to give this vaccine to the age group below 60 years on a priority basis.
