429 climbers receive expedition permit for autumn season

Kathmandu: A total of 429 people from 44 groups have received expedition permits to climb 8 different mountains in autumn season.

According to the Department of Tourism, 429 people, including 104 women, have taken climbing permits for this season till Monday.

383 people from 35 groups have taken permission for Mt Manaslu (8163m) while four climbers from one group have received permission for Mt Everest.

Autumn is not considered a suitable season for climbing Mt. Everest.

Citizens of a total of 59 countries have taken permission this season.

In which the maximum number of 48 people are from America.

According to the department, 29 people are from India, 25 from Iran, 23 from France and 20 are from Spain.
