Kathmandu: The upcoming Third Investment Summit, set to unfold in Kathmandu on April 28 and 29, has unveiled its two-day agenda, promising a rich array of discussions and presentations.
According to the Investment Board, the first day will feature two special sessions alongside the inaugural session, focusing on “Exploring Investment Opportunities in Nepal” and “Success Stories of Investments in Nepal.”
On the second day, three parallel sessions are planned, each hosting three panel discussions. Topics range from ‘Navigating Nepal’s Renewable Energy Potential’ to ‘Investment Opportunities in Tourism’ and ‘Driving Innovation in Manufacturing.’
The summit, themed ‘Emerging Nepal Investment Summit 2024,’ will take place at the prestigious Hotel Soaltee in Kathmandu. Organizers anticipate showcasing approximately 150 projects, an increase from the initially planned 125, with contributions from the private sector, provinces, and local governments.
Preparations are underway for over 260 guests from 31 countries to attend, with the Board actively engaging in negotiations and agreements for key projects like the Nepal-China Friendship Park and various renewable energy initiatives.
As the event draws near, anticipation mounts for the call for Expression of Interest (EOI) for 20 projects, highlighting Nepal’s commitment to fostering investment and economic growth.
