30 million handed over to three municipalities affected by Melamchi floods

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has handed over financial assistance of Rs 30 million to the municipalities affected by Melamchi flood.

A team including KMC Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya and Chief Administrative Officer Rajeshwar Gyawali reached Melamchi today and handed over the assistance to the municipality.

On behalf of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Mayor Shakya announced financial assistance of Rs 20 million to Melamchi Municipality and Rs 5 million each to the other two municipalities.

Along with the handover, the team including Shakya has also inspected the flood-damaged sites in the Melamchi and Indawati rivers of Sindhupalchowk.
