2,559 people confirmed with corona infection; five died

Kathmandu: In the last 24 hours, an additional 2,559 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus (Covid-19).

Of the 8,798 PCR tests, 2,449 and 866 antigen tests confirmed 110 corona infections in a total of 2559 people. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, five people have died in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 14,724 people are infected with the corona virus across the country. At the same time, the number of people discharged from the corona infection has reached 276,755.

In the last 24 hours, corona infection has been confirmed in 940 more people in Kathmandu Valley. In Kathmandu, 760 people have been found infected with corona, 74 in Bhaktapur and 106 in Lalitpur.

Similarly, 354 people were found infected in Banke, 221 in Rupandehi, 91 in Surkhet, 79 in Dang, 74 in Morang, 72 in Kailali, 67 in Kaski, 62 in Parsa, 39 in Bardiya, 32 in Palpa, 31 in Dhanusha and 30 in Makwanpur.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in 27 cases in Chitwan, 22/22 in Kavrepalanchok and Kanchanpur, 21 in Bara, 17 in Nawalparasi West, 15 in Kapilvastu, 14/14 in Mahottari and Gulmi, 13/13 in Rautahat and Arghakhanchi, 12 in Nuwakot, 11/11 in Sunsari and Waglung.

Of those infected in the last 24 hours, 54 were children under the age of 9 and 199 were under the age of 10 to 19.
