UML’s letter to dismiss 14 MPs including Madhav Nepal

Kathmandu: CPN-UML has taken action against 14 lawmakers including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The Oli faction has taken action as soon as the government brought an ordinance on political parties to split the parties by increasing the number of parliamentary parties or the central committee to 20 percent.

The action has been taken against Madhav Nepal and other lawmakers for violating the party’s whip without acting in accordance with Article 28 (1) of the Political Parties Act.

Among the MPs in action are Mukunda Neupane, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Birodh Khatiwada, Kalyani Khadka, Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary, Niradevi Jairu, Pushpa Kumari Karna, Sarla Kumari Yadav, Kalila Khatun, Krishnalal Maharjan, Bhavani Khapung and Metmani Chaudhary. UML has also sent a letter to the Parliament Secretariat asking them to resign.
