Turnover of Rs 82 billion through mobile and internet banking in just three months

Kathmandu: Mobile and internet banking business has grown rapidly in Nepal.

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, in the first three months of the current fiscal year, the turnover through mobile and internet banking has increased.

According to the NRB, a total of Rs 14.15 billion has been transacted through 690,000 internet banking transactions in the last three months.

Similarly, a total of Rs 67.93 billion has been transacted through 19.7 million transactions of mobile banking in the last three months. According to the NRB, the turnover through mobile banking was Rs 18.39 billion in first of the current fiscal year, Rs 20.34 billion in second month and Rs 28.80 billion in third month of the current fiscal year.

The number of users of mobile and internet banking in Nepal has increased rapidly due to the government’s crackdown on the corona virus epidemic, according to Rastriya Bank.
