Six Nepali women set record scaling Mt Annapurna

Kathmandu: In the history of mountaineering sector this is the first time any Nepali women have successfully scaled the Mount Annapurna, one of the 10 highest mountains. The six Nepali women climbers include, Photo Journalist Purnima Shrestha, Vice President of Nepal Mountaineering Association Maya Sherpa, Dawa Yangjum Sherpa, Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita, Dabuti Sherpa and Sharmila Syangtan Tamang.
All of them have scaled the Mt Annapurna today.
Similarly, Priyanka Mangesh Mohite from India has also succeeded today to become first Indian woman to scale one of the 10 tallest mountains in the world, Mt Annapurna. Along with Mohite, managing director at Pioneer Adventure Treks Mingdorchi Sherpa, Sanu Sherpa, Pema Chhiring Sherpa, Indian climber Bhagwan Chaulee, and Hu Tao from China also scaled Mt Annapurna.
Amid this, Sirbaz Khan & Mohammad Abdul along with their team members have also succeeded to become the first Pakistani citizens to climb Mt Annapurna. Today only 31 climbers have submitted Mt Annapurna among the 44 climbers who have received expedition permits so far.
