Prachanda-Madhav group announces to protest against parliament dissolution

Kathmandu: The Prachanda-Madhav faction of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has announced an agitation against the dissolution of the parliament.

The central committee meeting held today has decided to take to the streets from tomorrow. The group has decided to protest in Kathmandu on a daily basis from tomorrow.

Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha Prakash said that the nationwide demonstration will be held on December 29. According to him, the main demonstration will be held in Kathmandu. After this, a more powerful high-level program will be announced, spokesperson Shrestha informed at the meeting.

A 2501-member people’s movement mobilization committee has been formed for the movement under Shrestha’s coordination. The meeting has decided to gather at Maitighar Mandala on December 25 and go to the Election Commission with a joint letter and hold a press conference at 2 pm. It has been decided to hold the provincial committee meeting of the 7 provinces in the respective provinces and district level meetings in 77 districts.
