Oli group’s stone-throwing in Congress program

Kathmandu: The ruling Oli faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has pelted stones at the Nepali Congress meeting held at Dilasani in Baitadi. Some have even been injured in the incident.

In a program held in Dilasani on Tuesday, Congress central members N.P. Saud and Dila Sangraula, former president of the Nepali Union Nain Singh Mahar and others were present. More than 200 NCP cadres led by Jayaraj Joshi had joined the Nepali Congress on Monday alone.

At the same time, the program was stopped for about one and a half hour after the Oli group cadres started throwing stones at them.

Although there is no injury. District Police Office Baitadi informed that three persons were injured.

Nepali Congress has condemned the incident stating that the expression and behavior of the central leadership have played a role in instilling extremist character in the local party ranks of the ruling NCP.
