Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club organises festival greeting exchange programme

Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club(IECLC) conducted it’s first physical meeting on Sunday, Oct 18, 2020, with a purpose of exchanging greetings on the occassion of Nepalese big festival Dashain and Tihar 2020.
The program was initiated with the Lions Club formal procedure “Call to Order” by IECLC President Saroj Sigdel. This was a first physical meeting after the formation of IECLC 2020-2021.
On the occassion of this greeeting exchange programme, immidiate past president and Charter President of IECLC lion Gaurab Neupane handed over “Gong and Gavel” to the current President Lion Saroj Sigdel.
Addressing the event, Specialty Club Coordinator at Lions Clubs International & Past President of Dallas Everest Lions Club(DELC) Lion Thala Raj Panta and IPP of DELC Lion Suresh Basyal highlighted the significant history and services of the Lions.
Similarly, Nepali Socity of Texas (NST) acting President Rajendra Wagle expressed his gratitude for the work IECLC has done till date for the community. Wagle also asured that NST is always there to help and support Nepalese community and the organization.
Meanwhile, Founder of Highly Desperate and Needy People (HDNP) International Devi Prasad Acharya welcomed IECLC to cooperate with them.
Likewise, NST Toast Master coordinator Sushil Chaudhary presented insight into how we can actively work in the society and day-to-day walks of life.
On this occasion, Muna Ghimire who is associated with NST Toastmasters expressed her views how the club is working for the community. Similarly, entrepreneur and new IECLC member Jen Shrestha expressed his view on how we can work together with the Lions club in Nepal.
The first physical program for IECLC officers and invited guests, has been held at Viridian Park Ln community park with more than 23 participants. Club Secretary Lion Rajendra Kunwar welcomed the invitees and the program was run by IECLC Club Director Lion Lila Shrestha.
All members and invited guests had exchanged their greetings and well wishes on the occasion of Nepalese Festival Dashain and Tihar 2020. IECLC Treasurer Lion Krishna Prasad Aryal and Club Service Chairperson Lion Krishna Pudasaini along with other club members volunteered the program.
The IECLC President Lion Saroj Sigdel thanked all the attendees and adjourned the two hours long program at the end.
