Health care supplies supported by UAE govt arrives

Kathmandu: Health care supplies including 150 ventilators donate d by the UAE government to Nepal have reached Kathmandu.

At the diplomatic initiative of the Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the UAE government has sent 150 ventilators, trolleys, masks and 12,450 tonnes of medical supplies and equipment to Nepal today.

A special plane from the UAE arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport at 1 pm on Wednesday carrying medical supplies. The UAE is the first country to send official aid from the Gulf region.

The UAE Embassy in Abu Dhabi requested the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide as much assistance as possible due to health problems in Nepal.

Last year also, the UAE had provided medical supplies to Nepal for the benefit of health workers and patients involved in the treatment of corona infection.
