Govt to provide Rs 50,000 per family to flood and landslide victims of Sindhupalchowk

Kathmandu: In Sindhupalchowk, the government has decided to provide Rs 50,000 to the families affected by landslides and floods. This year, 326 families in Sindhupalchowk were affected by floods, landslides and inundation.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who reached Helambu village in Sindhupalchowk on Saturday, announced relief of Rs 50,000 per family. According to Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the amount will be distributed through the concerned village and municipality.

In a helicopter, the Prime Minister inspected the Melamchi Drinking Water Project, the flood-damaged area on the Melamchi River and the landslide-blocked area.

After the helicopter landed at Ganeshbagar in Helambu, the government team including Prime Minister Oli had a discussion with the local people’s representatives.
