Govt allocates Rs 170 million to construct oxygen plant in 12 hospitals

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Finance has agreed to set up oxygen plants in 11 hospitals and oxygen pipelines in one hospital in different parts of the country at a cost of around Rs 170 million.

The finance ministry has agreed to spend an additional Rs 168 million on the health and population ministry.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health and Population can now move ahead with the process of setting up the plant. Health ministry had demanded money for a total of 12 hospitals.

According to the Ministry of Finance, funds have been sanctioned to expand the oxygen pipeline at Damauli Hospital, Tanahu. Apart from this, funds have been sanctioned for setting up oxygen plants at Syangja Hospital, Baitadi Hospital, Doti Hospital, Arghakhanchi Hospital, P Chandra Hospital (Kapilvastu), Toulihawa Hospital, Palpa Hospital, Bardia Hospital, Provincial Hospital (Dang), Pyuthan Hospital and Tehrathum Hospital.
