Finance Minister says the govt is always committed to press freedom

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the current government is committed to press freedom and civil rights. He said the ruling coalition is committed to press freedom.

At a program organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Monday, Finance Minister Sharma said, “I want to make it clear that the government is committed to press freedom. This government is also committed to civil rights.”

He clarified that the positive things will be established and implemented and the broken things will be improved.

Stating that he is aware of the impact of the Corona epidemic on the communications sector, he urged the federation to give necessary suggestions to the government to resolve the economic crisis in the region.
