Fertilizer imported from China for the first time

Kathmandu: Urea fertilizer has been imported from China.

For the first time, 20 tons of urea fertilizer imported from China by Salt Trading Corporation has entered Nepal through Tatopani checkpoint.

According to Customs Office at Tatopani checkpoint, 400 bags or 20 tons of urea fertilize has entered the customs yard from two containers.

According to the Salt Trading Corporation, on November 11, 2020 it had called a tender to import 4000 tons of urea fertilizer. Of which, 400 sacks have been arrived.

Out of the total imported fertilizer, 1,200 metric tonnes of manure will be distributed from Banepa of Kavre, 2,000 metric tonnes from Kathmandu and 800 metric tonnes from Nuwakot to hilly districts.
