Country observes Dashami today, PM Oli urge to celebrate festival safely

Kathmandu: On the occasion of the great festival of Bada Dashain, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has wished all Nepalis for prosperity and called upon them not to waste money and to celebrate Dashain wherever they are.
Stating that the practice of blindfolding or indulging in extravagant celebrations without considering one’s own merits and demerits is not appropriate from any angle, Prime Minister Oli has called for correcting such practices and making our festivals frugal.
Stating that the festival has to be celebrated in a different way now than in the past due to the dire situation of the Corona epidemic, the Prime Minister suggested to take care of the danger of possible contagion due to unnecessary proximity while receiving Tika and Jamara.
He urged all to celebrate Dashain with special awareness as the possibility of infection is high among senior citizens, children and people with poor health. Prime Minister Oli has also requested everyone to celebrate the festival this time wherever we are.
