Conditional permission for Nepalis to return home from the UK

Kathmandu: Airlines have been banned from bringing passengers to Nepal from the UK after detecting new variant of coronavirus.

As a result, Nepali citizens and non-resident Nepalis who have to come to Nepal are also in trouble. In this situation, the government has facilitated Nepali citizens and non-resident Nepali citizens who have to come to Nepal.

According to the Department of Immigration, all passengers arriving by flight or transit from the UK have been barred from arriving in Nepal until further notice. However, if a family member dies or has to come to Nepal for serious treatment, the way is open for Nepali citizens, non-resident Nepalis and their children to come to Nepal.

For that, they will have to get permission to enter Nepal on the recommendation of the British diplomatic mission. Certificate of negative 72 hours PCR report before coming to Nepal is mandatory even in this case.

According to the department, tourist visas are being issued for countries other than the United Kingdom by Nepali missions abroad. However, foreigners entering Nepal from any country carrying a travel permit or emergency passport will not get an on-arrival visa to enter Nepal.
