Chinese President announces to give 1 million doses of vaccine to Nepal

Kathmandu: Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced to provide vaccinese to Nepal to fight against corona virus.

In a telephone conversation between the Presidents of Nepal and China on Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that one million doses of vaccine would be given.

After a telephone conversation between the two presidents , Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi announced that China will provide vaccines to Nepal as a grant.

Earlier, China had given 800,000 doses of Vero Cell vaccine to Nepal.

In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has requested Chinese President Xi Jinping to facilitate Nepal in purchasing the necessary corona vaccine.

In a 40-minute conversation between the two presidents on Wednesday, President Bhandari said that the first responsibility of the Nepali government was to save the lives of the Nepali people from COVID-19 and that China is willing to buy the necessary vaccine.

She urged President Xi to facilitate the process.
