Kathmandu: Diplomats from the US and China, who are competing at the global level, have been showing ‘diplomacy’ in the art and culture of Nepal.
The ambassadors of both the countries in Nepal have celebrated the Dashain festival of Nepal in their own style today. They have posted a video of the Dashain celebration on social media.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanchi has sung the evergreen Nepali folk song ‘Resham Phiriri’. She has posted a video on social media of her singing Resham Phiriri on Monday morning on the day of Vijaya Dashami. In the past, she used to dance to Nepali songs and post pictures of various cultural sites.
Similarly, US Ambassador to Nepal Randy W. Berry is no less that Chinese ambassador. He has also celebrated Nepali festivals openly.
He has wished the Bijaya Dashami on Monday morning. A few days ago, he had posted a video on social media about the goat meat, a Nepali dish that is eaten especially during Dashain. He has been showing his participation and attachment in different regions of Nepal and its dishes and rituals.
