China commits to provide 1.6 mn vaccines against corona

Kathmandu: China has again committed to provide an additional 1.6 million vaccines against corona to Nepal. The information was given by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi during a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Earlier, 1.8 million doses of Corona vaccine have been received from China through a grant. The government has also agreed to purchase an additional four million doses of the vaccine. Eight lakh doses of vaccine have already been received.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister, the Chinese Ambassador assured that China would continue to support Nepal in its fight against the Corona epidemic, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
