Another Nepali died abroad due to Covid-19

Kathmandu: One more Nepali has died abroad this week due to corona infection.

According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association, one person died of an infection in the United Kingdom this week. Including this, the number of Nepalis who lost their lives due to corona infection in 21 countries has reached 336.

Corona infection has been confirmed in 60,630 Nepalis in 50 countries till Saturday evening. Of them, 59,120 have been infected with corona. The infection-free rate is 97 percent.

According to the Health Committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, more Nepalis in Sweden, Spain, Poland, Seychelles, UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia have been infected with corona this week.

Stating that 4 new variants of Corona have appeared, the doctors affiliated to the health committee said that the vaccines used now will be effective for the new variants as well.

New variants of Corona have appeared in the UK, California, Asia and South Africa. According to preliminary research, the new variants are more contagious than the old ones. The health committee has appealed to participate in the vaccination campaign saying that the vaccine can also be used against the new variant.
